Instructional Focus Statement:
A school wide co-ordinated effort to have all students at Dunluce School show growth in their reading across the curriculum. Growth will be measured by Alberta Education Achievement Tests, HLATS and on-going school-wide reading assessments.
External
90% of students in Grades 3 and 6 will achieve the acceptable standard in the provincial Language Arts test by June 2010; and 90% of the students will achieve at or beyond grade level in reading as per the HLATs.
Internal
90% of students will demonstrate an understanding of and improvement in the reading process and will use it across all curriculum areas.
